OK so it is time to start thinking about what you will want to make sure you have in your bag or what details to be sure have long been taken care of.

For the most part, the best thing is to travel light and buy thing that you need once your in Paris. One thing you might do, if you have one is bring an extra bag that folds up in a compact manner to bring your goodies home in. alternately, you can buy a piece of luggage on the fly in paris either new or at a flea market.

One thing you want to be sure to have are some electrical adaptors for your various appliances and computer equipment. These ones from Magellan's come with their own travel bag. Also check Magellan's for Luggage and other travel supplies.

A really niftly piece of baggage is the rolling backpack that you can roll around the airport and the carry as a back pack when the going gets rough. As a rolling suitcase, the Latitude glides on durable,ball-bearing in-line skate wheels. Then, when you need to tackle a flight of stairs or a rocky hill, just push in the locking handle and pull out the padded shoulder straps to convert to an equally classy (and comfortable) backpack. The zip-off daypack is handy for shorter excursions and makes a perfect carry-on bag. Made of sporty in new Crossweave DuPont Cordura® Plusnylon, with padded top and side carrying handles and compression straps to help you avoid sprung zippers. Eagle Creek's quality manufacturing has made them. eBags Homepage

Leave a detailed Itinerary.

Be sure to give a friend or relative your travel schedule. Include names, addresses, and telephone numbers of persons and places to be visited; your passport number and the date and place it was issued;  credit card, travelers check, and airline ticket numbers. A copy of this information should be stored in a separate place from your purse or wallet. If your travel plans change--for example, if you miss your return flight to the United States or extend your trip--be sure to notify relatives or friends at home.

The Main Tip

Enjoy yourself! Take your time, relax and don't over do it. No reason to ruin a perfectly good trip with a bad attitude.
